FIFA Disciplinary Committee Declares North Korea Forfeit

Following a thorough review of the relevant facts and regulations, the FIFA Disciplinary Committee’s chairman has ruled that the DPR Korea national team will forfeit the match against Japan, which was originally scheduled for March 26, 2024, as part of the World Cup 2026 qualifiers. Consequently, the game is recorded as a 3-0 defeat for DPR Korea.

In addition, the FIFA Disciplinary Committee has imposed a fine of 10,000 Swiss Francs on the DPR Korea Football Association for their non-participation in the scheduled fixture.
